Testimonies
If you weren’t there and wonder what it was like to be at the Summit, these few personal testimonies and comments may help. And if you were there, you will easily identify with them.
Simi Valley, California: Your hard work has blessed us all! The CHIP Summit was educational, inspiring and uplifted us to our Creator. What a joy to meet other Chippers from around the world. –Bob Stotz
Dyersburg, Tennessee: (An email from someone who came to her first Summit with a team that is planning their first CHIP program in the Spring!) I haven't forgotten the wonderful four days we spent together with other CHIPPERS. I want to thank you for all you did to make our stay so grand. I can talk of nothing else. When I went to work on Monday my colleagues all wanted to know what I learned. I was happy to share with them a few tidbits to whet their appetite, but told them they needed to come to the CHIP seminar we will be holding in the Spring at our church. Not only were the meetings very inspirational, but the food was beyond our expectations. The humor that all of you projected helped make the time so enjoyable. Thank you, again, for your time and long hours of preparation for such an occasion. The four of us from the Dyersburg Church are excited about getting our program started. Our prayers are for you and your team as you work to win souls, not only through spiritual influence, but to heal their bodies and prepare them for higher learning.--Judy Thurmond
Missoula, Montana: I really enjoyed the speakers and the scientific information they shared with us. I was renewed and motivated that we are on the right track. The spiritual emphasis was also outstanding and I so enjoyed Pastor Mackintosh’s message. What impressed me the most however was how easy it was to strike up a conversation with total strangers and feel like we were old long lost friends. The names may not be remembered but the faces and conversations certainly are. What a great group! --Karen Williams
Carmichael, California: Just a note to let you know that the CHIP Summit was wonderful! Dr. McDougall's message was especially appreciated. I had heard him before but Friday and today was yet another eye opening event! He is so smart, entertaining, dedicated -- I could go on and on! Thank you so much for all the work you did in preparation for such a wonderful program. Everyone I talked to had an outstanding time. --Kathy Jaime
From London, Ontario: The early morning devotional with Harold, what a great start of the day, and being with 500 wonderful people all devoted to the CHIP health message. We came home energized and refreshed, ready to start new programs in 2007. --Kathy and Gord Rayner
Sacramento, California: I attended the CHIP program about 2 months after the first time I ever attended an Adventist Church. Having been a vegetarian from age 15-25, and now being a nurse who had returned to a vegetarian life style, after almost 30 years, the CHIP teaching made beautiful sense to me. One of the most significant impacts CHIP had upon me was the love I felt from the couple who directed it and the couple who assisted them. I often said that knowing them was the best part of the program. I had become a regular at the church and connecting with them made that natural. As soon as I heard of the Summit, I made my mind up to go. I immersed myself in the week there, from the early morning devotions to every minute of the teaching and worship. I was deeply touched by the kindness, openness, and gentleness I experienced with the people I met there. The Holy Spirit was working among us, resting upon us, and weaving a unity of the spirit that was something I knew I wanted to be a part of, not just watch. I made a decision during the Summit to become an Adventist Christian, something I never could have foreseen. Each meal, each conversation was a divine appointment for me. I thank you all for your encouragement and look forward to next year together. God bless you, Sharon Reyes
