Jacqueline Chan, DrPH, MPH

On the faculty of Loma Linda University, School of Public Health, Dr. Chan is a Co-Investigator of the Adventist Health Study who planned and supervised the field clinics of this landmark study. She has presented her study on water intake and cardiovascular deaths at scientific meetings such as the XXth Congress of the European Society of Cardiology and the International Congress on Heart Disease. Currently, Dr. Guthrie is teaching lifestyle medicine in the family practice residency program at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Harold Burden, MDiv, MPH
Harold has been the chairperson of the Adventist CHIP Association since its founding in December of 2000. He was a pastor in Wyoming and then a missionary in South America for 10 years—Lake Titicaca, Peru & Medellin, Colombia. After 25 years as hospital health educator at Portland Adventist Medical Center he “retired” and became a full-time CHIP volunteer. He is a tireless leader of the Adventist CHIP Association and has helped to coordinate every aspect of its growth
Dena Guthrie, MS, RN
Secretary/Treasurer and Program Development for the Adventist CHIP Association, Dena, a nurse practitioner, taught nursing at Walla Walla College and Loma Linda University before serving on the island of Guam as a missionary with her husband, George. She has a large heart for health ministry and for the past 10 years she has worked to develop the church-based program and leadership training for North America and beyond.
